TAA04 Certificate IV Assessor Resources

NEW Customizable Assessor Guides

The Assessor Guides (produced by Shea Business Consulting), are the first of their kind anywhere, providing an invaluable resource for trainers and assessors delivering this important qualification. These new resources form companion volumes to the Learner Guides recently developed by Shea. The high quality noted Assessor Guides that comprise this new suite of resources, address employability skills and fully support the revised TAA04 Training Package (v2.1).

Each Assessor Guide includes diagnostic, formative and summative tools, templates and checklists to support assessors in gathering evidence and making judgements of competence against the core and elective units in the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and the Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Sets. Like the Learner Guides, these Assessor resources have been specially developed to provide trainers and assessors with strategies to maintain compliance with AQTF 2007 requirements.

The Assessor Guides may be purchased by field and include a CD of the assessment tools as PDF files, and also in Word format for ease of customization. Individual links for each of the new Assessor Guides.

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment materials that have been built from the ground up.The TAA04 Training & Assessment (v2.1) Learner Guides have also been written by the highly respected Shea Business Consulting, with both Registered Training Organisations and their participants in mind.

In direct response to market feedback, each Learner Guide features underpinning text, assessment activities, employability skills, links to current industry sites and a mapping guide to each competency that will assist RTOs in their obligations to the AQTF 2007. This active response to client comment has ensured that the Shea resources in support of the TAA04 (v2.1) are widely considered the best products of their kind currently available. In addition, for the first time ever, there are now a further two publications that individually cover both the Enterprise Trainer and the Assessor Skills Sets.

New Small Business Trainer Resources

TVET Australia Product Services in close partnership with Innovative Business Resources (IBR) have jointly released a series of publications that directly supports both the Certificate III in Micro Business Operations and the Cert. IV in Small Business Management. The qualifications (BSB30307 & BSB40407) sit within the BSB07 Business Services Training Package. IBR is well known in the training system for its quality resources and have been supplying small business training materials to providers of the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) for a number of years. The latest series of IBR publications build on the experience and feedback gained from its BSB01 range.

As custodian of all nationally endorsed Training Packages, it seems only natural that IBR form a partnership with TVET Australia to market and distribute its materials.

Freight charges

Due to substantial increase in the costs of shipping freight an increase of our postage and handling charges will be made. As of June 1st 2009 postage and handling will be:

  • $15 for the first item and a further $2 for each item thereafter will apply.
  • Domestic freight is capped at $100.00 per order.
  • International orders will be costed using the weight of the product and its destination.

TVET Australia have absorbed increases to freight costs over the last few years, however is not able to maintain this approach in the longer term. The small increase represents an initiative to reach cost recovery with all freight costs.
