What is the Australian Quality Training Framework?
The Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) is a set of nationally agreed standards that ensures the high quality of vocational education and training services in Australia. The AQTF evolved from the original Australian Recognition Framework (ARF) that underwent revision during 2000 and 2001. On 8 June 2001, Ministers renamed the framework to the Australian Quality Training Framework. The name was changed to reflect the increased emphasis on quality in the national vocational education and training system. There are two sets of standards under the AQTF; Standards for Registered Training Organisations and Standards for State and Territory Registering and Course Accrediting Bodies.
