How Do I Find a Product?

There are two main ways to find a product:

  • Search content and metadata of a product usingProduct Search (the textfield in the top right)
  • Browse the onlineProduct Catalogue ("Browse Catalogues" in the left-hand side menu)

Product Search

The Product Search searches words within the ATP catalogue, including product title, description and content, and ranks the results. Each product matched to a word will display and each subsequent word match will rank it higher. Product Search is generally limited to a total of three "meaningful" words.

Product Search hints:

  • The search routine excludes common words, such as "and", "but', "which"
  • Avoid generic or broad meaning words such as "communication", "training" etc.
  • Use word combinations rather than phrases e.g. searching for "dangerous gas emission" will give a similar result to "dangerous spill" but listed products and ranking will differ
  • Product Search finds your words strings individually and as phrases, so sequence words accordingly

Browse the Catalogue

Browse products in theOnline Catalogue(located in the left hand menu column). Select the industry sector or category (e.g. Business Services) by selecting the link. This will display the list of all product headers for this industry sector or category. You then need to drill down to the individual product items to order.

Once you have moved down to a product item, you will usually also be able to access a sample by select the icon or the product image.

Why do I need to register?

Registration facilitates the order process and enables you to complete an online purchase. If you are a new user, ATP only requires a minimal amount of information for registration. To make it easier, your email address is your username.

If you are not already logged on, the system will ask you to do so before proceeding with an order.

Once you are logged on, check that your items and delivery details are correct, then move to the orders section. At this point a quote is generated, which can be printed or paid for online in our secure environment.

Do ATP's prices include GST?

Yes.

What is a 'Quote'?

Once you have finished adding items and are ready to proceed with your purchase, you should then check your order details and select 'confirm' to generate a printable quote. What this means is that the price specified at that time will remain valid and constant for the next 28 days, independent of price fluctuations which may occur on the live site. At the quote stage you will be provided with a Reference Number e.g. 74562 and notice of the validity period e.g. Valid until Wednesday, 12 August 2004. This enables you to return to the order at a later date, if you do not choose to conclude the sale at this point. If you do not, after 28 days the order generated is automatically cancelled.
