A learner’s training and assessment resource for this unit of competency (from the CHC08 Community Services Training Package), which comprises the qualification, CHC50908 ' Diploma of Children’s Services (Early childhood education and care).
Each Competency Handbook covers an individual competency unit from the CHC08 Community Services Training Package. There is also an accompanying User's Guide for each of the three qualifications covered by the full list of Competency Handbooks.
The Competency Handbooks are structured and organised in an easy to follow format. Each section, and the related topics, is derived directly from the Competency Elements and Performance Indicators, as outlined in the relevant Training Package. The close alignment of the materials to the structure and content of the Training Package facilitates training and learning and helps trainer/assessors to keep track of their trainees’ progress through their Training Plans.
Each section in the Competency Handbook is concluded with one or more Assessment Tasks related to the Competency Element. Each topic has one or more engaging Learning Activities related to the specific Performance Indicator(s), which are designed to consolidate and extend learning.
Whilst developed specifically for on-the-job training, these comprehensive resources may be used across the entire scope of the Flexible Delivery model - distance, classroom, workplace, on-line, mixed-mode.
