The TDM01 Maritime Operations Toolbox 510 provides authentic online training to support 20 units of competency from TDM20101 Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Maritime Operations).

Eight (8) of the competencies are the pre-sea entry-level competencies which are common compulsory units for each of the six qualifications from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma. The other eleven (11) have been selected from the Maritime Deck Operations competency standards. Learners take on the role of trainee at Pete's Marina where they are required to complete a range of jobs related to each unit of competency. Learning occurs through participation in real-life scenarios and tasks covering a range of maritime operations and situations. As the Toolbox covers the various aspects of the Maritime industry it will be suited to trainees, existing employees in the maritime industry, as well as full-time learners studying at a training organisation or via distance education.
