Training Package: TDT02 Transport and Distribution
Description: The 'CT Express' Toolbox supports Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Road Transport) from the TDT02 Transport & Distribution Training Package (Road Transport). The 'CT Express' Toolbox concentrates on the loading and unloading of general freight only. However the Toolbox provides a strong foundation for further study in the areas of loading and unloading specialist freight such as dangerous goods, steel, bales etc.
The Australian Road Transport Industry is heavily regulated and is facing, in Victoria, the imminent introduction of the Chain of Compliance. As such, there is a demand for quality training in all areas of loading and unloading cargo. The 'CT Express' Toolbox uses a powerful combination of industry approved content and contemporary instructional design approaches including scenario and problem based learning in an intuitive and accessible design to provide a broad range of VET practitioners and potential learners flexibility in gaining the vital competencies of load and unload cargo.
The tasks associated with the Toolbox are based on real situations found in road transport locations nationwide. These tasks aim to provide an authentic learning experience that relates to the work environment that the learner has or will encounter.
